Things to Do This Spring

Spring has arrived! Along with it is a vibrant lineup of exciting events all over Perth. We’ve done the hard yards and put together a list of events to keep an eye out for and enjoy this spring.

UnWined Subiaco

Saturday October 28 & Sunday October 29

Indulge in the epitome of wine and food experiences at UnWined Subiaco, returning once again at the vibrant Market Square Park. Grab your glass as you enter, then venture through the 35+ wineries showcased with over 250 wines to sample and purchase. Uncover the best of WA’s wine, beer, cider and spirits you wouldn’t usually have access to all in one place. The event will be buzzing with live music, plus some of Perth’s best tapas.


Monet In Paris

Thursday November 16 - Sunday February 4

After the raving success of Van Gogh Alive last year, the same team has just announced a new multi-sensory experience hitting Perth this November - Monet in Paris. Celebrating the life, times and works of one of the world’s most celebrated Impressionist era artists, Claude Monet, a brand new purpose-built structure will pop up at Crown Perth. This unique and immersive experience will captivate audiences of all ages as you get lost in a kaleidoscope of art and sensory pleasures that celebrate Monet's life, era, and masterpieces.



Wednesday October 4 - Monday October 9

If you loved Lightscape, then you’re going to love this immersive festival coming to Perth this October. With three unique immersive dreamscapes of sound, light and fire to explore, each centred around stories or rebirth and renewal to coincide with the season of Kambarang in the Noongar calendar. With each event placed in a different location around Perth, including the Supreme Court Gardens, Perth’s Government House Gardens and Kings Park, each is sure to be a unique a multi-sensory, immersive experience. It’s a beautiful way to connect with WA's rich culture and country.


Karrinyup Turns 50

Saturday September 16 & Sunday September 17

Celebrate half a century of fashion and lifestyle at Karrinyup Shopping Centre! Marking the grand 5-0 with a jubilee party, Karrinyup extends an invitation to patrons to celebrate with a weekend full of birthday celebrations. From roller-skaters, free gifts and sweet treats, giant games, music filling the mall and the ultimate giveaway (hello, brand-new Tesla!) – Karrinyup will be bursting at the seams with a centre-wide celebration like no other.


Perth Royal Show

Saturday 23rd September - Saturday 30th September

Get ready for another year of electrifying family adventures at the 2023 Perth Royal Show. With heart-pounding rides, captivating games, thrilling showbags and carnival treats that’ll ignite your excitement, there’s plenty of fun for the whole family to enjoy all day and into the night.


Claremont Town Centre Under The Sea Adventure

Wednesday October 4th & Thursday October 5th

If your kids are fans of all things under the sea then you’re going to want to check out the Under The Sea Adventure that’s coming to the Claremont Town Centre this October school holidays. Grab a map, make your way around town and find the hidden sea creatures. Once you’ve found them all, head back to the town square to receive your prize! There are eight creatures to be found and some very special surprises along the way.


Leederville Comedy Club

Every Thursday at the recently renovated Red Room, the Leederville Hotel’s upstairs area transforms into a vibrant and entertaining cocktail and comedy experience, featuring some of the best comedians from around the country as well as touring international acts.


PRIVÉ Fashion Platform

Friday 22nd September

Grab your best outfit and get ready to head to the Privé Fashion Platform. Featuring in the runway show is the latest fashion trends from some of WA’s coolest designers and emerging talent. You’ll get the chance to get up close and personal with some of WA’s top designers that have hit it big around the country, then hit the dance floor with a live DJ that'll carry into the after party. Tickets are limited, so grab yours before they sell out.


Luminarium by Architects of Air

Saturday September 23 - Sunday October 8

Get ready to be wowed. Luminarium by Architects of Air is a giant inflatable architectural maze of light, air and sound that stretches 45m by 35m, totalling 1,000m2 of glowing labyrinth-like spaces for old and young to explore! Crafted with inspiration from the natural world, the experience is designed to echo aspects of being lost in a forest. Imagine walking under radiant canopies that stretch like an endless sky overhead, and strolling beside vibrant tree trunks that seem to spring right from the ground. This is one enchanting experience that's just too intriguing to pass up!



Friday November 3 - Sunday November 19

Featuring more than 80 incredibly talented artists, musicians, and performers from Australia and all corners of the globe, this festival will take over Fremantle’s streets, buildings and waterways this November. The festival, a celebration that explores themes of movement and communication across distances, from the ocean to the island, promises not just an event, but an iconic experience that blurs the boundaries between art and audience.


Luna Leederville’s Trash Classics

Running until December 2023

Movie buffs, get ready to take a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Whether you're a fan of freaky alien puppets or ’90s cyberpunk anarchy to noughties pop satire and camp chaos, Trash Classics is back for a fifth season that will keep the spirit of the VHS movie well and truly alive. It’s the perfect event to enjoy with friends and relish in the cheesiness of classic cult faves.


CHICAGO The Musical

Thursday November 21- Sunday December 10

Murder, greed, corruption, exploitation, adultery, treachery… and All That Jazz. Yes, you guessed it - we're talking about none other than the sensational, multi-award-winning musical that has taken the world by storm: CHICAGO. This Broadway sensation, renowned as the longest-running musical is set to kick off its Australian tour this November at Perth’s own Crown Theatre. The glitz, the glamour, and the sizzling energy of the roaring twenties will be captured live on stage and set to be an unforgettable performance.


Mary Poppins The Musical
